Gaia was such a pleasure to work with and get to know! We started off our meeting with her showing me some of her artwork, and to say she is a very talented artist is an understatement. I was blown away by her work! Then we went through her various wardrobe options and I loved the variety of looks she brought and we squeezed in as many different outfits as we possibly could into her session. She wanted something a little different for her senior portraits so I took a more edgy, fashion forward, approach to photographing her. We had so much fun walking around downtown Denver during this very windy evening! Learn a little more about Gaia and check out some of our fave photos from her senior portrait session! What is your personal style? I love 90s style a lot, but I also like to look androgynous. Kpop also influences some of the things I wear. Mostly black though... you can't go wrong! (I completely agree! Most of my wardrobe is black!) What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I am an artist and a novice storyteller. I like to spend my time improving myself in my art and writing. My goal is to one day publish a graphic novel.

We are digging through the high school senior archives this week to the class of 2019! The positives that have come from the Covid-19 stay-at-home order is we have been going through past senior portrait sessions and getting them on the blog. It's been such a crazy busy few years that blogging has been neglected and we are looking to change that! David was a delight to work with! I enjoyed getting to know him and his family during our time together. I loved his personal style and the variety of wardrobe he brought, especially the brown and black flannel. The weather and light was simply perfect! We laughed, talked about future plans and caught an absolutely stunning Colorado sunset! Check out some of our favorite pictures from his senior session below and learn a little more about David.
As we head into a new year and a new decade I have been going through the archives of the class of 2020 and it has brought the biggest smile to my face! We have had some absolutely wonderful high school senior clients this year and Skyler is one of them! We had so much fun together!! We did a morning session in the RiNo Arts District because Skyler really wanted an urban vibe with graffiti. I really enjoy morning sessions in the city because it's not crowded at all. We basically had the area to ourselves! Skyler chose the best wardrobe for their session! I basically wanted a list of items so I could go get them for myself. Learn more about Skyler and see some of our favorite photos from the session below...
The class of 2020 seniors have been a ton of fun! I have met so many wonderful teens and I always look forward to senior season each and every year! Holly was delightful and I just loved her style. We headed down to the RiNo Arts District in north Denver because she wanted a grungier urban feel and all of the colorful graffiti in the area was a perfect fit. Luckily we did her session in June so it wasn't a super hot day!
This year has been a trip down memory lane with all of the 90's fashion coming back. When Holly changed into the plaid skirt, black shirt with Dr Marten boots, I smiled to myself because I had almost the exact same outfit in high school. I love seeing all the new trends year after year! I do have to admit that this year has been a fun one! Holly was a delight to work with and she absolutely loved her photos! Check out some favorite pictures below and learn a little more about her. When Dillon's mom reached out to me for his senior pictures I was super excited! I met him and his mom a few years ago while photographing a wedding. He was so fun to work with at that time so I couldn't wait to meet up with them again and catch up. Dillon is into fashion and loves shoes so I knew he'd bring some great wardrobe choices. He did not disappoint! He even had Nike shoes that he could switch out the swoosh to match his clothes! How cool is that?! We did a 2 location photo session and he wanted all urban. We went to the Santa Fe Arts District for a grungy, graffiti vibe. Then head to downtown Littleton for a completely different urban feel. We found some great new photo spots, talked about his high school life and what he wants to do in the future. That's always my favorite part of senior sessions! Check out some of our favorites from Dillon's session and get to know him a little more...
I am excited to finally write about Grace's senior session! Since her photo shoot at Mount Falcon last summer she has modeled at several of my workshops and classes and become one of my summer assistants. We have been having so much fun this year! Grace has recently graduated from Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado. She's taking a gap year to travel and has plans to go to some amazing places! I can't wait to hear all about her travels when she returns.
Her senior pictures have been some of my favorite's! I loved her wardrobe choices and was thrilled when she chose a mountain location...both matched her happy, carefree spirit! Working with Aspen on her high school senior portraits was so much fun! We met in downtown Littleton, which is one of my favorite locations, and did a quick session that lasted only 25 minutes, but we got some seriously amazing photos of her! Aspen's style was perfect for the occasion and I loved that her and her father wanted to include her letterman jacket in a couple of the portraits. Especially since it's a big part of her high school life being the Varsity Tennis Team Captain and on the the JV Softball team. She is such a sweetheart and I really enjoyed showing that off in her pictures. Learn more about Aspen and check out some of our favorite photos from her session below....
Malach's senior portrait session was so awesome! We had great weather the entire time and he chose two fantastic locations that fit his personality and style really well! We started in the RiNo Arts District in North Denver to get that urban feel and some cool graffiti. We wandered around and found some great old brick buildings and some new graffiti I hadn't seen yet. RiNo's street art is constantly changing which means no two sessions will be the exact same. If you are in Denver and are looking for something to do I highly recommend hitting up that part of town. Next, we headed down to Littleton for the nature location. Everything was green with amazing views of the mountains and we had a killer sunset! I really enjoyed getting to know him during our session. He's pretty laid-back and so easy to talk to and work with. To learn more about Malach and see some of our fave photos from his senior session keep on reading!
Francesca's session was a lot of fun...even though it didn't exactly go as planned! She did our 2 location session and wanted a beautiful garden as one and something urban for the second. So, naturally I suggested Hudson Gardens and downtown Littleton. When we arrived at Hudson Gardens there was a concert and a wedding happening so we didn't have access to almost anything. I explained to security that I called in advance and was cleared to do our session. They were having none of it and wouldn't allow us to do the shoot....so it was time to pivot! We headed to a nearby park that usually has flowers blooming and we ended up loving it more than the original location! It was nice and quiet and definitely less crowded! We had a great time taking photos at the park and the flowers were gorgeous and in full bloom. Next we headed to Historic Downtown Littleton only to find a huge bike race going on! Now typically they don't block off the entire downtown area for these events, but this time they did....and so we had to pivot again. We went to the other side of Littleton and ended up finding a whole new section that was perfect for Francesca. After all of the pivots and change of locations, her session was still absolutely awesome! We all ended up just laughing about it in the end! Keep on reading to see some of our favorite photos from her session and learn a bit more about Francesca...
I just love when I get to photograph an entire families big moments through the years! Jillian is the youngest of 3 siblings and the final senior session I will do for this awesome family. For Jillian's senior pictures we went to some of my favorite locations in Historic Downtown Littleton, Colorado to give her that urban feel she wanted. It's a great area with plenty of options - old brick, garage doors, stairs and more. Then we headed to the stables where she rides horses on a regular basis, Coventry Farms. Anytime I get to work with horses, it's a great day! I absolutely loved her natural make-up look and I am obsessed with her hair style! The wardrobe choices she brought were perfect for each location and fit her personality well. I always look through each seniors wardrobe and choose the best looks for their body type, skin and eye color and the location. As always with this family....we laughed so much and had such a great time! I always enjoy getting to know my clients and chatting with them during our sessions. Jillian and I have a ton in common including our favorite movies and music. Read a bit more about her and see some of our favorite photos from her session....
I first met Athena a few years ago at the very first wedding I ever photographed. I knew her dad from my day job at the time and he referred me to the happy couple. So when he reached out for his daughters senior portraits I was thrilled! I knew she'd be amazing to work with and I wasn't wrong! The whole family tagged along and we had a great time. When we found each other in our meeting spot in Morrison we went through her wardrobe to decide which outfits would work with each location. I LOVED her style - Warm, somewhat trendy, unique, dressed-up casual. We started in Morrison before heading over to the nearby nature location. I like doing a 2 location session because it gives clients a great variety to choose from. We started at the license plate wall (probably one of my most requested locations) and then wandered around Morrison to get a variety of small town urban backdrops. There was a concert at Red Rocks that evening and we had to get creative so we didn't have hundreds of people in the background! It was bright, sunny and hot in Morrison...but when we headed to the nearby nature location the weather shifted a bit because a storm was rolling in. That didn't stop us! The dark clouds and wind created some stunning portraits of Athena that are still some of my favorites to this day! ![]() Check out some of my favorite photos from her session and read a bit more about Athena below....
Elizabeth was such a delight to work with on her senior pictures! We went to two locations because she wanted urban and nature options and I knew the perfect combo in Littleton. We started at Hudson Gardens for her nature location and wandered the beautiful park chatting and laughing along the way. Then headed to Historic Downtown Littleton for the urban location. I love the diversity of both locations! Elizabeth's wardrobe choices were perfect and definitely fit her dressy casual style. One of the things I love about photographing seniors every year is hearing about their lives and plans for the future. Some seniors want to head to college, start their own business or travel for a year. The possibilities are endless!
Read more to learn a bit about Elizabeth and her plans for the future... Chloe's high school senior portrait session was nothing short of perfect! She chose a fantastic location, the weather was beautiful and we basically had the place to ourselves. Her wardrobe choices were awesome and she brought her favorite comic books (Wonder Woman, being one of my faves as well). I really enjoyed getting to know her and hear all about her future plans. She wants to be a journalist or an actor! How cool is that?! Check out the rest of the blog to hear a bit more about Chloe...
I have had so many wonderful senior photo sessions this year! Ana's was definitely one of them! I enjoyed getting to know her and loved that she was referred by her friend Landrey (check out his senior session here). When I sent over a few location choices I was thrilled when she chose Hudson Gardens. It's a great location with a variety of backdrops including colorful flowers and green grass. I knew it would work perfectly! We couldn't have asked for a better afternoon...it was perfect weather, gorgeous sunlight and we practically had the place to ourselves! Check out more of my favorite photos from her senior session and learn more about Ana below....
There is nothing better than having repeat clients! When Kaylie's mother reached out to me for her senior portraits I was thrilled to be able to work with them again! I photographed her older brother Christian two years ago in downtown Littleton and it was so much fun getting to know the family. Kaylie wanted a nature location for her senior pictures and I knew this spot would be perfect! She brought a couple different wardrobe options and after going through everything I knew these two outfits would be the best. The floral dress was perfect for this mountain location and the blue blouse went so well with Kaylie's piercing blue eyes. We had great weather, an awesome location and beautiful light....doesn't get any better than that! Read more about Kaylie, her senior portrait experience and check out some of our favorite pictures ....
