We had the pleasure of working with Anne and Michelle with Luxury Mountain Living on their new professional brand marketing photos late last year. Their session took place inside a gorgeous model home in Windsor, Colorado and it was the perfect backdrop for their style and brand. They brought a great mix of wardrobe options and I absolutely loved their style! Lots of cool shoes, stylish jackets and pops of color. Read more to learn more about this wonderful team and check out some of our favorite photos from their session!
One of our favorite location choices to photograph seniors is at Hudson Gardens in Littleton. This spot is known for beautiful landscapes and gardens set alongside the Platte River. In the spring and summer there are lots of blooming flowers, green grass and lily ponds. When I initially spoke with Sara and her mom about the time frame for her session we decided on June because it's usually not as hot as July and August...boy were we wrong! Last June ended up being one of the hottest on record and almost everyday was mid to high 90's! It may have been hot, but we certainly didn't let that get in our way! Getting to know Sara and work with her was an absolute breeze! Her smile and overall vibe is contagious and we had so much fun! When you add in her awesome wardrobe choices, the bouquets she brought and her violin...we couldn't go wrong. I loved capturing all sides of her personality in her photos. Sara chose this location and it fit her style perfectly. Her friends have labeled her style as “preppy old lady chic.”

Outside and around Union Station has quickly become one of our most popular spots and with good reason. We are excited to share our favorites from Lily's downtown Denver photoshoot! Her wardrobe was perfect for this urban setting and we even managed to get some cool night photos at the very end of her session. I don't have a specific style but I tend to opt for more tighter fitting clothes. I feel my style would be considered casual chic. When Carter said he wanted urban photos at night we knew exactly what location to suggest! The city lights in this downtown Denver location were the perfect backdrop and exactly what he was looking for. We started during the day so we had a good variety of options for him and his parents to view. His photoshoot was giving us urban, cool, casual feels or total GQ vibes. We are so excited to share his senior session with everyone! Check out some of our favorite photos from his session and get to know Carter too! What is your personal style?
Casual street wear I would say he stayed true to his personal style throughout the whole session! Why should headshots and branding photos be boring?! One of my favorite things is working with entrepreneurial women who want something that shows off who they are, in and out of their business, for their websites and social media. When Claire reached out we started chatting about various location ideas, wardrobe options and the general look and feel she was going for. I was thrilled when she decided on two locations. The RiNo Arts District would give her that fun, unique, urban feel she really wanted and her warm and inviting home which was perfect for showing off all of the wine-tasting goodies. Get ready to be transported with a taste of intrigue and scandal - maybe even danger - and be left feeling thirsty for more! Gaia was such a pleasure to work with and get to know! We started off our meeting with her showing me some of her artwork, and to say she is a very talented artist is an understatement. I was blown away by her work! Then we went through her various wardrobe options and I loved the variety of looks she brought and we squeezed in as many different outfits as we possibly could into her session. She wanted something a little different for her senior portraits so I took a more edgy, fashion forward, approach to photographing her. We had so much fun walking around downtown Denver during this very windy evening! Learn a little more about Gaia and check out some of our fave photos from her senior portrait session! What is your personal style? I love 90s style a lot, but I also like to look androgynous. Kpop also influences some of the things I wear. Mostly black though... you can't go wrong! (I completely agree! Most of my wardrobe is black!) What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I am an artist and a novice storyteller. I like to spend my time improving myself in my art and writing. My goal is to one day publish a graphic novel. We really couldn't have asked for a better day! The lighting, weather and location for Cassidy's senior photoshoot were absolutely perfect!
Check out some of our favorite pictures from her session below... I have had the privilege of photographing Heather's professional branding headshots multiple times in the past year and I have absolutely adored working with her!
Professional branding sessions are perfect for a variety of reasons - you can use these on your website, blogs, social media, banners, fliers, business cards and more. It's also more personal when it's you and your products rather than buying generic stock images. I like to ask clients about their business and who they are so it will help us collaborate on a variety of poses, props to bring and location. Here is a little bit about Heather.... The positives that have come from the Covid-19 stay-at-home order is we have been going through past senior portrait sessions and getting them on the blog. It's been such a crazy busy few years that blogging has been neglected and we are looking to change that! David was a delight to work with! I enjoyed getting to know him and his family during our time together. I loved his personal style and the variety of wardrobe he brought, especially the brown and black flannel. The weather and light was simply perfect! We laughed, talked about future plans and caught an absolutely stunning Colorado sunset! Check out some of our favorite pictures from his senior session below and learn a little more about David.
I was going through our family portrait archives and found so many wonderful sessions I have not shared here! Which is a shame because we have photographed some amazing families over the years. This adorable session is definitely one of them! We could not have asked for better weather especially considering it was January and everyone knows that Colorado in January can be wildly unpredictable. They wanted a casual lifestyle approach, which was super easy with this little guy! We wandered around the trails and occasionally stopped for a quick posed portrait and then captured all the fun moments in-between. When Whitney came into the studio to view the photos from their session she loved all of the candid moments and didn't care if hair wasn't perfectly placed, if jackets were on or if clothing was slightly skewed...all that mattered was we captured her family's personalities and this special age of her smiley, happy son. Toddlers have a ton of personality and one thing I love doing is finding a wide open space for them to run and be free! This little one was definitely happy to be in nature and it shows.
As we head into a new year and a new decade I have been going through the archives of the class of 2020 and it has brought the biggest smile to my face! We have had some absolutely wonderful high school senior clients this year and Skyler is one of them! We had so much fun together!! We did a morning session in the RiNo Arts District because Skyler really wanted an urban vibe with graffiti. I really enjoy morning sessions in the city because it's not crowded at all. We basically had the area to ourselves! Skyler chose the best wardrobe for their session! I basically wanted a list of items so I could go get them for myself. Learn more about Skyler and see some of our favorite photos from the session below...
The class of 2020 seniors have been a ton of fun! I have met so many wonderful teens and I always look forward to senior season each and every year! Holly was delightful and I just loved her style. We headed down to the RiNo Arts District in north Denver because she wanted a grungier urban feel and all of the colorful graffiti in the area was a perfect fit. Luckily we did her session in June so it wasn't a super hot day!
This year has been a trip down memory lane with all of the 90's fashion coming back. When Holly changed into the plaid skirt, black shirt with Dr Marten boots, I smiled to myself because I had almost the exact same outfit in high school. I love seeing all the new trends year after year! I do have to admit that this year has been a fun one! Holly was a delight to work with and she absolutely loved her photos! Check out some favorite pictures below and learn a little more about her. The weather is starting to change, the air is getting crisp and we've seen a few yellow leaves popping up on trees...which means fall is almost here! So, we decided to do a special package to celebrate our love of the season! With a 30 or 60 minute session and 7 locations to choose from in Littleton, Highlands Ranch and Denver we have something for everyone!
When Dillon's mom reached out to me for his senior pictures I was super excited! I met him and his mom a few years ago while photographing a wedding. He was so fun to work with at that time so I couldn't wait to meet up with them again and catch up. Dillon is into fashion and loves shoes so I knew he'd bring some great wardrobe choices. He did not disappoint! He even had Nike shoes that he could switch out the swoosh to match his clothes! How cool is that?! We did a 2 location photo session and he wanted all urban. We went to the Santa Fe Arts District for a grungy, graffiti vibe. Then head to downtown Littleton for a completely different urban feel. We found some great new photo spots, talked about his high school life and what he wants to do in the future. That's always my favorite part of senior sessions! Check out some of our favorites from Dillon's session and get to know him a little more...
