Hi, I’m Sunshine, the photographer behind Silver Sparrow Photography! When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me hiking Colorado trails, curled up with a good book, or enjoying board games and Mario Kart with friends. I have a soft spot for cozy games like Palia, it's the perfect way to unwind after a long day. I love live music with Red Rocks being at the top of my venue list. I’m also a total travel fiend....my favorite recent adventures include Africa, Costa Rica, and Paris, with Ireland, Italy, and Iceland next on the list. I believe every animal deserves a loving forever home (adopt, don’t shop!), and there’s nothing better than a slow Sunday with good friends. Life is short, so take the risk, eat the dessert, and say yes to the next adventure.​

I’ve dyed my hair every color of the rainbow, except yellow. I thrive on live music and love meeting new people to mosh with at concerts. When I’m not in the studio editing and assisting, you’ll find me deep in the mountains capturing panoramic landscapes, fishing or creating textured oil paintings inspired by favorite memories. And when it comes to music, I’ll always choose CDs and a stereo over streaming. ​

I love coffee....the comfort and smell of my first cup in the morning is something I look forward to everyday. When I’m not sipping, you’ll find me happily dancing around my tiny kitchen, baking up treats with music playing—baking is my favorite creative escape, and if I could do it all day, I would. Live music holds a special place in my heart, not only for the sound but for the amazing friendships it’s helped me build. I’m also a total book and movie nerd, always ready to dive into a great story. I love thunderstorms and the first snow of the season.

I’m a Colorado native who discovered a passion for photography in my late 20s. I earned my degree in Professional Photography, specializing in Commercial Photography, from Brooks Institute. In 2010, I co-founded Gray Box Studios, where I focus on product, eCommerce, food, beverage, and architectural photography. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me enjoying music, sampling craft beers, playing tennis—both table and court—and board games. I also love teaching photography and sharing what I’ve learned with others.​
