This year has been so wonderful! I have photographed a lot of weddings with amazing couples and some incredible destinations! From Colorado to Cancun, it has been an awesome year! These are a few of my favorite moments from this 2016. I really enjoyed getting to know Chris and Aly during their fall engagement session and even more at their spring wedding at Lionscrest Manor in Lyons, Colorado. Aly decided to walk down the aisle barefoot so she could feel the grass during their I-Do's. I loved their laid-back attitude. So many sweet moments! This was the best way to kick of my 2016 wedding season! Wes and Nicole were married in a small church ceremony at Evans Chapel which was followed by a lovely reception at Maggiano's DTC. The ceremony was sweet and intimate, just like the happy couple. They didn't care that it was dumping snow for their couples portraits and neither did I! We played in the snow for a bit then Nicole changed into an adorable vintage dress from ModCloth for her reception. I love the couples unique style and vintage flair! I had the pleassure of working with Wanda Bonner with Blue Linden Weddings & Events Alex and Zach were so fun! They were married outside at The Pines at Genesee on a perfect spring afternoon. Family and friends were a big part of their day and were surrounded by so many supportive and loving people. The best part of the day was the cake cutting! Zach smashed the cake all over Alex's face....then Alex's aunt came to her defense and smashed an entire cupcake all over Zach's face and the room cheered and laughed! Karlye and Matt are one of the sweetest couple's I have ever met. I have never seen two people so in love and so supportive of one another! They were married at Meadow Creek Bed and Breakfast. They had a simple outdoor ceremony that was officiated by the bride's brother. The bride and her bridesmaids were barefoot as they walked down the aisle. The groom's face as he saw Karyle for the first time was the best! It started raining right in the middle of the ceremony and not one person seemed to mind as these two sweethearts exchanged vows. And the clouds passed as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Derek and Brittany were a lot of fun! They did a first look in a nearby park followed by some hilarious photos with the wedding party. They exchanged personal vows before heading to The Wheatridge Rec Center for their formal ceremony and reception. Lots of laughs and dancing! When I met Erika we were putting together our 2016 vision boards at a mutual friends event. We were chatting about upcoming goals for the year. She learned I was a destination wedding photographer and I learned she was engaged and planning a wedding in Cancun! We set up a meeting with her fiance and the rest is history! They were married at The Moon Palace in Cancun. The weather was perfect, the ceremony was amazing and the reception on the beach as the sun set was to-die-for!! Cori and Steve were so amazing! I have really gotten to know their whole family this year because we did an engagement session, Steve's daughter's senior portraits and their wedding. Steve and Cori are perfect together. They had their wedding at The Colorado National Golf Club with one of their favorite live bands at the reception. They were super laid-back during the whole day, even as storm clouds were rolling in right as the ceremony was about to start. Luckily, it passed on by without raining, Dancing, Laughter and Smore's by a fire pit, can't ask for much else! This fun Renaissance Festival Wedding was shot by my associate photographer Stephanie. David and Barbara had 3 ceremonies-1 traditional, 1 handfasting, 1 "jumping the broom" and lawn games at their outdoor reception. After the I-Do's they had a parade through the festival and were blessed by the King and Queen! Adam and Christine did a small ceremony in Rocky Mountain National Park with a handful of close friends and family. They exchanged personal vows while a string quartet played in the background. After the I-Do's, everyone headed to their favorite restaurant, Ax and Oar, in Lyons. Delilah's Revenge played their favorite songs as everyone danced, enjoyed some delicious food and fantastic weather! Chris and Nicole are such a great couple! I loved getting to know them. They are sweet, light-hearted and so much fun! Family tradition was a big part of their day from getting ready to the family portraits. They planted a tree during the ceremony, did a fun first dance and had glow sticks on the dance floor! Samantha and Will were married at The Sheraton Hotel DTC in July. The happy couple was surrounded by a lot of family and friends! They had a beautiful indoor ceremony followed by an amaing reception full of great speeches, a custom song by the bridesmaids and super sweet father daughter dance. Ashley and Drew and their precious daughter were a delight to get to know! I am so happy I was apart of their big weekend in Vail! We started the wedding weekend with a wonderful rehersal dinner at Zino where I photographed family portraits and candid moments. The wedding the following day was absolutely perfect! Everything took place at The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera in Edwards Colorado. The day was planned by Ashley's wonderful aunts and the amazing wedding planner, JoAnn Moore...it's no wonder that everything was perfect! Just look at that stunning view on such a perfect July day! Wayne and Gladys flew to Colorado for an intimate wedding in Colorado Springs with mountain views in a private home. Everything was planned by Wanda Bonner with Blue Linden Weddings and Events and couldn't have been any better! Close family in attendance witnessed there vows with a gorgoeus view of the Rocky Mountains. Afterwards, they enjoyed an intimate dinner catered by A Wild Thyme. Such a lovely day! Mark and Danielle are one of the funnest couples I've met! I knew the wedding would be fun when I did the engagement session and laughed so much my stomach hurt afterwards! These two lovebirds were married at The Barn at Raccoon Creek in Littleton Colorado with rustic touches and bright pops of color. The ceremony was a mix of sentimental, cute and funny. The light during the couples portraits was amazing! The reception was SO MUCH FUN!! The dance floor was packed right up until the dj turned the music off. Such a great day! I loved Jenny and Sam's style and easygoing approach to their big day! They wrote their own vows full of love and laughter. After the ceremony the wedding party had a lot of fun in the photo. The couples portraits were almost magical with the soft evening light and fall leaves. The reception was anon-stop dance party with an ice cream bar! My last wedding of the season definitely made the list of 2016 favorites! Nic and Kelli are a fun and loving couple. Another couple that made me laugh during the engagement session and wedding. They had their October wedding at the Sanctuary Golf Course in Sedalia Colorado. During their couples portraits we were lucky enough to have a stunning sunset with perfect golden light! The reception was fun and energetic with fantastic food and non-stop dancing. I could not think of a better way to close out the season! Congratulations to all of the wonderful couples that were married this year and thank you for an AMAZING 2016!!
