Every year since my son was little we make it down to Larkspur for the Colorado Renaissance Festival. It's our summer tradition and we have a ton of fun! This year we got to share the experience with two of my closest friends, Jo and Kate, who have never been.
I usually look at the schedule in the spring and block off the Celtic weekend. We enjoy watching all of the live Celtic music throughout the day, especially Celtic Legacy. We have our yearly traditions and watching Celtic Legacy is one of them. Also, every year I buy a new coffee mug and some handmade soaps, my son and brother always get a Steak on a Stake and run off to check out all the weapon booths and my dad stocks up on Garlic Festival spices. Jo and Kate watched some jousting and checked out some jewelry with me. Every year I take a whole weekend off from photographing weddings to spend with my family, these are memories I cherish and wouldn't trade them for anything!
As you can tell.....my family just LOVES taking photos.
The whole crew getting ready to head in. My son even has a slight smile!
This year we got there right as the parade started. The Celtic weekend always has a ton of bagpipes and kilts....two of my favorite things!
After the parade I found Vinessa and her kiddos and had to stop and say hello! I love these girls!
We always stop and watch The Magikhana Show. He's hilarious!
The Living Fountain was new this year and completely mesmerizing!
And of course a Ren Fest wouldn't be complete without a photo with Jack Sparrow!
So much fun and a ton of great memories! This summer has been a great one and I cannot wait until next year!
